These products are under the scope of DIGEMID, and are mainly made up of vitamins and minerals, as well as bioactives with no therapeutic effect. Food plants are allowed to be part of the formulation. The Sanitary Registration is granted for each pharmaceutical form, dosage dose, type and material of packaging, country and manufacturer.

Those products that contain any other vitamin, mineral or trace element that are registered and are marketed in the exporting or manufacturing country as food or nutritional supplements will also be registered as dietary supplements.
